A caller reported a possible violation of city signage ordinance.<br />
Individuals presented at the counter to advise they will conduct a political demonstration on public property.<br />
A person reported twice that demonstrators&#8217; signs were blocking view of the roadway.<br />
A caller reported finding newspaper dispensers on property.<br />
A caller requested a welfare check on a kite surfer.<br />
A caller reported an unknown person taking pictures of property.<br />
A caller reported a man unconscious in a parking lot.<br />
A caller reported hearing loud shots and an explosion in the area of Crossman Ridge Road.<br />
An officer attempted a traffic stop, but the man fled on foot. Police were unable to locate the driver.<br />
A 911 caller reported a man attempting to break into a vehicle on Grubstake.</p>

An off-duty trooper reports a REDDI (report every drunk driver immediately) on Spit Road when a vehicle crossed over center and fog line several times. The vehicle was located unoccupied at the fuel dock.<br />
4/18<br />
A caller reports a docile white dog found at the Homer Landfill.<br />
A female on Main Street reports her landlord is sharing confidential information and spreading rumors about her to other tenants.<br />
An officer arrests Zachary Dillard, 35, on an outstanding warrant.<br />
A caller reports a male outside his apartment on E. Fairview Avenue is banging on the door and threatening to damage his vehicle. The male was trespassed from residence indefinitely.<br />
4/19<br />
A female reports that an intoxicated female walked into her apartment on E. Pioneer Avenue. The female was taken home by taxi.<br />

Alaska State Troopers<br />
April 20, 11:29 p.m.<br />
Alaska State Troopers contacted Alida Dunning, 47 of Homer, on a traffic stop. Investigation revealed Dunning was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. She was arrested and remanded to Homer Jail.<br />
April 21, 8:25 p.m.<br />
Alaska State Troopers contacted Mark McConnell, 43 of Anchor Point, at a family disturbance. Investigation revealed McConnell operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. He was arrested and remanded to Homer Jail.  </p>

<p><strong>4/10</strong><br />
A 911 caller reported a new silver pickup truck crossed over into the oncoming lane and nearly him on East End Road. Officers were unable to locate the truck.<br />
A caller reported an older grey-haired lady crossed the road at Lake Street and Sterling Bypass and is just standing on the corner.<br />
A caller reported finding a hypodermic needle lying near the roadway. An officer retrieved and disposed of it properly.<br />
A Haven House advocate brought in a female to get an emergency protective order.<br />
A caller reported a possible intoxicated man riding a bike. An officer contacted the man and all was fine.</p>
<p><strong>4/11</strong><br />
A caller reported he loaned his vehicle to a friend, who then gave it to someone else. The caller reported his vehicle as stolen.<br />
A caller reported his neighbor’s dogs were fighting. A second call came in to say the dogs were taken inside by the owner.<br />
A caller walking on the Homer Spit Trail reported hearing three shots fired coming from Kachemak Drive. The caller saw ducks flying overhead and believed someone may be shooting them.<br />
A caller reported an elderly male walked away from an assisted living home and can’t be located. Later the man was found.</p>
<p><strong>4/12</strong><br />
A wallet was found and turned in to police.<br />
A 911 caller reported his grandmother was expected home and is overdue. The caller called back and said his grandmother was located.<br />
A caller on Mattox reported he saw two vehicles in front of his home and one man took a rifle to place in other vehicle.<br />
An officer came across a dead eaglet in the roadway. Wildlife biologists were notified.<br />
A caller told police a man was at a business smelling of alcohol. An officer arrested the man for drunk driving and took him to jail. </p>

A caller reported theft from her vehicle on Mountain View Drive.<br />
A business owner reported a burglary at the business on Main Street.<br />
A man came to police to report he was being followed.<br />
A woman reported her adult grandson is at an apartment, possibly doing drugs and refusing to come home.</p>
<p><strong>4/16</strong><br />
A vehicle was reported stolen sometime turning the night from the reservoir.<br />
A former Homer High School student came to the high school and assaulted another student. Police are investigating.<br />
A woman reported her neighbor is calling animal control officers in retaliation for a news article he is upset about. An officer advised her of her options.<br />
A caller reported two girls were walking barefoot in the roadway. An officer talked with the girls, and all was OK.</p>

<p><strong>3/26</strong><br />
Crews responded to the Boys and Girls Club for a fire alarm activation; upon arrival it was determined a pull box was activated by a child. Crews reset alarm.</p>
<p><strong>Homer Police<br />
3/28</strong><br />
A caller reports outside of residence vehicles have been egged and is a continual problem.<br />
A caller reported that a small red pickup threw a bag of trash out of the window. An officer contacted and warned of littering laws and made the subject pick up the trash.<br />
The Homer High School bookkeeper brought in a counterfeit twenty that was received from purchase of  prom tickets.<br />
A male presented himself at the counter to report his wallet stolen from his vest.<br />
A caller reported that a female stole a jacket from their store and is headed into town.<br />
Police received a report of three males standing on the reservoir dam and shooting firearms. They were gone on arrival.<br />
A caller reported a female making suicidal threats. An officer was advised and a female was transported to hospital.<br />
A caller reported being threatened by an out-of-state male while on Facebook with the male’s daughter.</p>

A subject reported their tent stolen from their vehicle while they were shoveling a spot for it.<br />
A caller reported a newer gold Toyota peeled out of a parking lot spraying debris on their vehicle.<br />
A caller reported they had lost their wallet.<br />
A caller reported her son helped her move to Homer and is now loitering near her residence. She wants him trespassed.</p>

A caller reported a dog that had been shot and dumped near the harbor, Animal Control was notified.</p>

Homer volunteer fire department responded to 13 EMS calls and one fire call.<br />
<strong>3/22</strong><br />
Crews responded to a residence on Mountain View Drive for a CO alarm. The residence was ventilated and owners advised to not allow vehicles to run in garage.<br />
<strong>3/20</strong><br />
A 911 caller reported a woman cutting her wrist on Ben Walters Lane.<br />
A person reported possible methamphetamine use with a child present.<br />
A woman was reported pushing her bicycle in the roadway on Lake St. and the Bypass.<br />
A caller requested information about a serial number on a gun.<br />
<strong>3/21</strong><br />
A caller reported a moose trapped in a small enclosed fence on Kachemak Drive.<br />
<strong>3/22</strong><br />
A caller reported a vehicle stolen then later discovered the vehicle was towed by the landlord on Fairview Ave.<br />
<strong>3/23</strong><br />
A 59-year-old male reported an unauthorized charge to his bank account.<br />
An officer contacted three females and one male, all 18, on campground road and founds a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle.<br />
A 58-year-male reports a moose was shot on Ternview Place after being attacked by three dogs. Moose was given to charity.<br />
A caller reports a moose eating bark off of trees on Pioneer Avenue.<br />
A caller requests to have a woman arrested for being around her kids.<br />

A 911 caller reports a young eagle on beach not able to fly. Bird rescue was notified.<br />
<strong>3/25 </strong><br />
Troopers report a yearling moose was shot and given to charity.<br />

A possible single vehicle rollover occurred at East End Road and McLay with possible injuries.</p>

A complaint was received via fax from a school bus driver. A vehicle had passed the bus when red lights were flashing and students in the area.<br />
A caller reported an unknown man standing outside of her apartment on the walkway then left the area on Svedlund Street.<br />
A caller reported hearing a woman scream on Bartlett Street.</p>
