• On Jan. 23, at 12:44 p.m., fire crews responded to 570 Whispering Meadows for a chimney fire.<br />
• On Jan. 26,  at 10:43 a.m., fire crews responded to Kevin Bell Arena for an automatic fire alarm.<br />
• On Jan. 26 at 11:32 a.m., crews returning from a previous call arrived on scene of a four-vehicle accident on Beluga Slough. Crews maintained traffic control while officers and medics worked on the scene.<br />
<strong>1/24</strong><br />
• A person reported fraudulent use of his credit card.<br />
• A local business requested a welfare check on a possible suicidal woman on Lee Street.<br />
• A caller reported hitting a moose on Ocean Drive and Douglas Place.<br />
• A 911 caller reported a moose in roadway, possibly hit by a vehicle on Lake Street.<br />
• A caller reported medication stolen from her unlocked vehicle.<br />

• A caller reported an intoxicated woman at a Hillfair Court facility.<br />
• A caller reported her vehicle was hit by a flat bed truck that then left the scene on Greatland Street.<br />

• Officers escorted a vehicle transporting a woman with chest pains to SPH.<br />
• Multiple vehicles collided during a whiteout on Beluga Slough.<br />
• An unknown 911 caller reported a school bus losing gear out of an open compartment on Sterling Highway and West Hill Road.<br />
• A woman reported she believed her computer had been hacked.<br />
<strong>1/27</strong><br />
• A woman reported her vehicle was hit by an unknown person while parked at Kate Kuhns Aquatic Center.<br />
• A caller reported a school bus stopped in the roadway on East Hill Road and South Slope Drive.<br />
• A caller reported a snow machine on the roadway, making jumps on Ben Walters Lane.<br />
<strong>1/28</strong><br />
• A caller reported a baby moose laying in the yard on Lakeshore Dr.<br />
• A caller reported a dog inside the airport fence on FAA Road.<br />
• A caller reported a possible vehicle or boat in the ice on Spit Road.<br />
• An East Skyline caller reported a dead moose in her yard, possibly there a couple of days.<br />

• A caller reported a possible drug deal in parking lot on the Bypass.<br />
<strong>1/30</strong><br />
• A caller reported being chased by two dogs on Skyline Road.<br />
• An officer comes upon a school bus in the middle of the road.<br />
• An officer observed a person, known to be revoked, driving.<br />
• A woman reported her mother received a call from someone directing her to go to a website on her computer. Once she did they hijacked it and said she was no longer able to control it.<br />
<strong>1/31</strong><br />
• A 911 caller reported her boyfriend may have ingested a poisonous substance.<br />
• An officer&#8217;s consent was given to search a vehicle and confiscated a pipe and a small amount of marijuana on Kachemak Drive.</p>

• An anonymous caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the Soundview neighborhood.</p>

• A 911 caller reported her husband is suicidal.<br />
• A woman reported hay left out for moose on Sabrina Rd.<br />
• A woman reported her daughter is violating her conduct agreement.<br />
• A caller reported a man drunk and disturbing neighbors on Ternview Place.<br />
• A 911 caller reported seeing an orange flare over the water toward Seldovia from Spit Road.</p>

• A man reported his tires had been slashed on Main Street.<br />
• Two men reported someone entered their residence and stole electronic equipment on Soundview.<br />

On 12-27 crews responded to the area of Main Street and Pioneer Avenue for a possible propane leak. They were unable to detect any propane in the air or find any leaky propane tanks in the area.<br />

A caller reported an otter in distress on the beach off Spit Road.<br />
A man came to the police station himself and reported his wallet was stolen yesterday. The wallet was found at home in closet.<br />
A caller reported a vehicle impeding snow removal on Hillfair Court.<br />
An apartment manager reported the smell of marijuana coming from the apartments.<br />
A third-party caller reported his wife drove by a possibly intoxicated man walking in the roadway wearing dark clothing and a head lamp on East End Road and Mile 3.<br />
An officer contacted two intoxicated men who appeared to be arguing. One man was arrested for marijuana possession and the other was taken into protective custody.<br />
<strong>12/28</strong><br />
A caller reported a shop lifter at a local business on Sterling Highway.<br />
A caller reported a large propane tank in the roadway causing a hazard. The propane tank was removed from the roadway.<br />
A caller reported a possible stolen cell phone.<br />

A caller reported a possible drug and alcohol use and a person contributing to a minor.<br />
A driver was arrested for driving while license was revoked and was lodged in the Homer Jail.<br />

A woman came to the police counter to report her mental health being used in a fraudulent manner in order to receive public assistance.<br />
Alaska State Troopers reported a stolen vehicle may be in the Homer area.<br />

A woman reported she was being harassed by four people in a jeep on West Pioneer Avenue.<br />
A woman reported theft from her residence that she was moving out of on Sabrina Road.<br />
An anonymous caller reported underage drinking at a local hotel.<br />
A caller reported fireworks heard.<br />

A woman had reported her daughter had ran away. Juvenile was then arrested for MCA.<br />

A caller reported a bicyclist riding in the road and causing a traffic hazard on East End Road and Mattox.<br />
A caller reported an unregistered sex offender at a local business on 780 East End Road.<br />
A man came to the police station with a dog that needed to be placed in the shelter.<br />
An officer was flagged down by an unknown man who reported someone was hunting in city limits on Greatland Street.<br />
A woman came to the police station to report a disabled vehicle in the intersection. The vehicle was then moved off the roadway.<br />
A caller requested a welfare check on his father who is possibly suicidal.</p>
<p><strong>12/20</strong><br />
A caller reported excessive, unwanted phone calls coming in for a hotel guest on the Sterling Highway.<br />
A man reported after-the-fact that his vehicle had been rear ended in the Post Office parking lot.<br />
A caller reported theft of gas from two vehicles on Rangeview.</p>

A man came to the police station to report a lost cell phone.<br />
A caller reported a man and a woman arguing in the parking lot of a local business on Pioneer Avenue.<br />
A caller reported a possible suicidal woman in the Homer area.<br />
An anonymous woman reported a man buying alcohol for juveniles.<br />
A man reported his ex-wife calling and repeatedly yelling at him.<br />
A woman reported her son missing, but her son returned home safely.<br />
A caller reported hearing a dozen gunshots in the West Highland/ Rogers Loop area.<br />
A woman reported hearing someone prowling around outside of her apartment on Main Street.<br />

Building maintenance reported an intoxicated woman walking down Pioneer Avenue. Officer then saw the woman walk into her residence.<br />

A caller reported a dead rabbit near the entrance door on 579 Waddell Avenue.<br />
A driver was arrested for DUI, refusal to take a breath test and endangering the welfare of a child in the first-degree.</p>

</strong>A caller reported hearing three shots being fired on East End.<br />
Multiple callers reported gunshots or fireworks in the area of Ocean Loop.<br />
A man came to the police station to report a man sleeping in the Post Office.</p>
<p><strong>12/24</strong><br />
A caller reported receiving threats via text messaging.</p>
<p><strong>12/25</strong><br />
A caller reported two dogs at large. One was a blonde curly haired dog and the other was a thin black dog on West Hill Road and Skyline Drive.<br />
A caller reported firearms being discharged in city limits.<br />
A 911 caller reported he hit a moose, and that his car wasn’t damaged, but the moose was. The moose was given to charity.</p>
<p><strong>12/26</strong><br />
A man came to the police station, saying he thought there was a warrant out of his arrest. Police found two warrants, and placed him in jail.<br />
A caller requested a welfare check on her family, because she has been unable to reach them by phone for a few days.<br />
An ACS operator patched through a man reporting he needed a tow from the beach. The tide had reached his tire.<br />
A caller reported theft of a cement, red-colored bull dog from in front of his residence on Pioneer Avenue.<br />
An unknown woman reported an eagle in the water appeared as though it needed help getting out on Lake Street and the Bypass.</p>

Also at 8 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 17 fire crews responded to an automatic aid call to assist Anchor Point on a structure fire. <br />
Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded to nine EMS calls and four Fire calls for the week of Dec. 12–18. On Dec. 12 crews responded to 61 W. Fairview for a CO alarm activation. On Dec. 13 crews responded to the Christian Community Church for a fire alarm activation.  Also, crews responded to 168 E. Bayview for a chimney fire. On Dec. 17 crews responded to 4105 White Alder Lane for a CO alarm activation. </p>
<p><strong>12/13</strong><br />
A caller reported that a hostile man may show up at at a local business to threanten or harass the business owner on  Pioneer Avenue.<br />
A caller reported the theft of two marine batteries from his charter boat in the Homer harbor on Spit Road.</p>
<p><strong>12/14</strong><br />
A caller reported two men in the area that he suspects may have stolen a bicycle on Ohlson Lane.<br />
An officer observes a road grader with no rear lights illuminated on the Sterling Highway and Mile 171.5.<br />
A wallet was turned in to the Harbor office on 12/5/11.<br />
A woman presented herself at the counter with a leopard print clutch purse found on Bench near the Homer Tribune on Pioneer Avenue.<br />
A man reported his wallet was taken from the locker room of the Homer High School on 600 Fairview Avenue.</p>
<p>12/15<br />
A caller reported a vehicle along the roadside with doors and windows open.<br />
A 911 call was received with a woman screaming in the background. The woman was transported to South Peninsula Hospital.<br />
A caller reported a woman fell off her bicycle in the  middle of the road on Kachemak Drive at Mile 2.<br />
A caller reported a semi truck stuck in the middle of the road on the Homer Spit Road and Kachemak Drive.</p>

A caller reported an altercation between employee and customer. The person entered the store and was yelling and throwing things on Ben Walters Lane.</p>

A caller reported a fraud via computer in the Homer area.<br />
A caller reported medication was removed from her purse while in a local business on E. Pioneer Avenue.<br />
A caller reported losing a wallet.<br />
SPH reported a man left the hospital against medical advice.<br />
A 911 caller reported a moose hit by a car on East End Road. </p>

<p>• On Dec. 7, HVFD was dispatched to Homer Middle School for an automatic fire alarm activation. Crews made entry into the building with a key and found a tripped sensor in the annunciation panel. Fire personnel found no fire or smoke in the building and informed the school district of the fault.<br />

• A caller reported a man emptying his stove ashes on the roadway on Ocean Drive Loop and Cranberry Place.<br />
• A caller reported a vehicle parked in a handicap space without a placard on Hazel Avenue.<br />
• A caller reported being harassed and threatened in the Homer area.<br />
• A woman called 911 to report her vehicle went into a ditch near Spruceview and Mulliken. The woman hit her head in the accident, and the airbags deployed.<br />
• A man reported he kicked his roommate out and is now being threatened.<br />
<strong>11/30</strong><br />
• A caller reported a man acting suspiciously around a parked commercial vehicle.<br />
• A woman reported someone damaged her vehicle while it was parked on Main Street.<br />
• An anonymous caller reported seeing a woman going through all the cluster of mailboxes on Clover Lane and Hill View.<br />
• A caller reported two individuals shoplifting at Save U More.<br />
• A woman reported her son was hit on the school bus.<br />

• A caller reported a body lying in the roadway. Officers to scene found a mannequin in the roadway from Alaska Air National Guard drills.<br />
• A woman reported a person known to her was highly intoxicated and trying to get into her apartment. She was given a ride to another location.<br />

On Dec. 3, HVFD responded to a two-story multi family residence on Mattox for two kids who were locked in a bedroom on the second floor. One of the young people had a broken arm from a previous injury and wasn’t able to leverage the door open. The internal workings of the door handle were broken, leaving the parent and both kids unable to open the door. Firefighters entered the bedroom by placing a ladder at the window. They were able to remove the broken doorknob to open the door. </p>
<p>Kachemak Emergency responded to two medical calls during the week of Nov. 28 – Dec. 4 and had one stand by for the Homer High School ski races at Olsen Mountain Road on Dec. 1-2, where one medical emergency occurred.<br />
