Sign Up Now for FORK Club Baking Class for Teens!
Dec. 4th, teens ages 12-18 yrs are encouraged to join chef, Kathy Kysar (new owner of Fresh Sourdough Express) for this hands-on holiday baking extravaganza! Teens will have a chance to learn from Kathy and other chefs in her commercial kitchen how to make baked goods so tasty by choosing organic and healthy ingredients. This unique FORK Club opportunity will allow youth to explore the career field of culinary arts. Pick up the skills to create these baked goods at home too. Each participating teen will leave with a plate full of samplers to give as a gift or enjoy with family! All teens/guardians have to do is sign up this week at the R.E.C. Room by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, calling 235-6736, or by stopping in Mon- Fri, 3-6pm. This class is FREE as always. Since Kathy is hosting FORK at her restaurant to give youth the experience of working in a true culinary setting, we are asking youth to set up rides to drop off at the Fresh Sourdough Express at 3:30pm and be picked up there at 7:30pm. If no ride is provided, please come get a permission slip which will allow R.E.C. Room staff to provide youth with a ride to and from the R.E.C. Room. Class limited to first 15 teenagers to sign up.
