Pratt seeks mail-in art for exhibit
October 12th | Staff Report
Artists looking to participate in the Pratt Museum's upcoming sixth International Mail Art exhibit are facing this week's deadline to enter their pieces. The exhibit is open to all artists, writers and other art forms that fit the theme of "Root."
Individuals interested in submitting pieces to the show must submit artwork through the U.S. Postal Service, sending it to: "Root," P.O. Box 620, Homer, AK, 99603. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 13.
The exhibit will have a "soft" opening on Nov. 3 and run through Dec. 30.
Artwork submitted to the show will become part of a silent auction on the last day, and will not be returned. Bids will start at the cost of postage.
The Homer Council of the Arts hosted Homer's last mail art exhibit in 1993 at the Bunnell Street Arts Center.
