Kachemak Emergency Services responded to one medical emergency call and one fire call during the week of March 24-30.
Hit and Run/Leave scene of accident: A 911 caller reported a hit and run on the roadway on Kachemak Drive and Arctic Turn Place. A male suspect was contacted and is to be issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident.
Lost property: A caller reported a lost raft on the roadway at Mile 4 East End Road. The caller was advised to call the Alaska State Troopers.
City ordinance: Multiple callers reported four wheelers in a restricted are at mile .5 of the Homer Spit Road. Officer Ruebelmann responded to the scene and a male was advised to not drive in the area.
Suspicious circumstances: The harbor office reported a male acting in an erratic manner on the Homer Spit Road. He left the area.
Agency assist: A caller on Tulin Terrace Boulevard called to report a broken city waterline. Public Works was notified.
Suspicious circumstances: A caller reported footprints behind a residence on Main Street. An officer offered extra patrols in the area at night.
Violation of conditional release: An agency requested a welfare check at a residence on E. Skyline Drive. A male subject was arrested for violating release conditions, and housed at the Homer jail.
Indecent exposure: A caller reported a male urinating in public on Olson Lane, and yelling at him. Officer Baxter responded to the scene.
Assist Fire Department: A caller reports audible alarm and flashing lights from Homer Library on Hazel Street. Officers and fire department respond to scene.
Disturbance/other: A caller reported loud music on the beach at Crittenden Drive and Hidden Way. The parties were contacted by an officer and advised to lower the noise for the evening.
