Register for Crowell painting workshop
Registration is now open for an art workshop with noted, visiting artist and abstract painter, Rebecca Crowell to be held August 9-11 in Homer at the Kachemak Bay Campus. The workshop will focus on methods of building up abstract paintings in layers, using cold wax medium, tube paint, powdered pigments and other media. Participants will learn new ways to create textures, lines, and color fields using a variety of tools and techniques. The emphasis is on cold wax medium and exploration and experimentation with the process.
This workshop is in conjunction with Crowell’s Aug. 2 Pratt Museum show, “Beneath the Surface.” The deadline for registration is July 26 and there is a minimum enrollment requirement. The fee is $175.
