Police – June 5

May 27
Intoxicated pedestrian: A caller reported someone passed out on the side of the road. An officer went to the scene to find all was ok and the person was only resting in the sun.
Fraudulent use of an access device: A 911 caller reported a theft from a business. An officer went to the scene on Ocean Drive and arrested a man on two counts of fraudulent use of an access device and two counts of theft in the third degree and was lodged at the Homer jail.
Animal Related Complaint: A man reported two loose dogs on East End Road, no officer was available at the time and the dogs were taken to the pound.

May 28
Fraudulent use of an access device: A woman called to report her boyfriend had used her debit card without her permission.
Disturbance: A caller reported that some children were playing outside and making too much noise. An officer went to the scene on Seabreeze Court and advised the kids to keep the noise down.
Trespass: A 911 caller reported an intoxicated man had torn down their tent on the Spit and would not leave. An officer went down to the Spit and the intruder was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the second degree.

May 30
City Ordinance: A 911 caller reported a group of people being excessively loud at the local park on Campground Road. An officer went to the park to find the group was playing tag and he told them to keep the noise down.
Suspicious Circumstances: A caller reported finding items suspiciously placed within his home. An officer was advised.

May 31
Traffic Hazard: An anonymous 911 caller reported a tire had fallen off a truck and was rolling down the middle of West Pioneer Avenue.

June 1
Civil Problem: A woman called to report that during an earlier medic call her walker had been moved out of the way to assist with care but was now out of reach at her home. An officer went to her home and moved her walker within her reach.
Animal Related Complaint: There were numerous calls about a possibly injured moose in the water. An officer went to the area and the appropriate agencies were notified.

June 2
Found Property: A Harbor officer called to report he’d found a Hawaii ID on the Spit.
Suspicious Circumstances: A caller reported hearing her neighbor calling for help. An officer went to the scene but the claim was unfounded, the neighbor needed a cab to go shopping.
Theft from building: The assistant manager reported a man was harassing customers, then had taken food and walked out of the store.
