We all know speaking to the city council is like talking to the HAND, but it is true. Our silent votes are just as reasonable, responsible and accountable as the city council's are.

The strange part will be the same 2000 (bogus) "votes" FOR the "fix" are the same that will be AGAINST! Invisible VOTES? HOW CAN THAT BE?

Who counted the votes for the city council election? Did they really get elected, because they way they act, like the AK legislature, it seems they don't care about what the people think... like they know the fix is in.

Therefore I propose a new vote. Since the city council has pioneered this new system of 'silent majority wins' voting, let's use it.

If you agree with the city council's decisions and think they are working in our best interests, then write a letter to the editor of this paper by 5pm Friday, so it can be published in next week's paper. If there are less than 2000 letters printed in next weeks paper, then the silent majority wins and the city council must resign immediately.

Thank you for attempting to talk sense to Micciche, Mike McCarthy. Great letter!
I hadn't even heard about that waste of money, and it is absurd they pretend they are fiscally responsible with all their giveaways to oil and gas.

And Thank you for the article on fracking-here it is online if anyone wants to read it
http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2013/03/bakken-shale-oil/dobb-text

It is truly frightening how neither of our local papers are covering this issue, don't they care? Doesn't everyone want to continue to eat healthy fish? This will affect the anchor and ninilchik rivers.

Please send comments to DO&G by e-mail at dog.permitting@alaska.gov,
or by regular mail:

and Gas, 550 West 7th Avenue, Suite 800, Anchorage, Alaska 99501

It also seems possible the gas line that is being paid for by Homer citizens will then be used to ship natural gas to Japan and Homer citizens just paid for their infrastructure- suckers! Why are Homer citizens paying for the natural gas line all the way out the spit? There aren't many customers there, but that sure would be convenient for shipments.

If Homer citizens have to pay for the line, shouldn't spit users or skyline users pay more than an old trailer home that is right in town?
