Did they really get elected, because they way they act, like the AK legislature, it seems they don't care about what the people think... like they know the fix is in. Therefore I propose a new vote. Since the city council has pioneered this new system of 'silent majority wins' voting, let's use it. If you agree with the city council's decisions and think they are working in our best interests, then write a letter to the editor of this paper by 5pm Friday, so it can be published in next week's paper. If there are less than 2000 letters printed in next weeks paper, then the silent majority wins and the city council must resign immediately. Who counted the votes for the city council election? Great letter! I hadn't even heard about that waste of money, and it is absurd they pretend they are fiscally responsible with all their giveaways to oil and gas. Doesn't everyone want to continue to eat healthy fish? This will affect the anchor and ninilchik rivers. If Homer citizens have to pay for the line, shouldn't spit users or skyline users pay more than an old trailer home that is right in town?
