The Homer Glacier Kings Pee Wee C Hockey Team hosted the Copper River Revenge for a series of games over the weekend at Kevin Bell Arena. The two teams first faced off on Saturday, with Homer taking an early two-goal lead in the first period. Clark Bolin picked up two goals and one assist for the game, while teammates Robert Larson and Ethan Pitzman each added one, as the Glacier Kings held on for a 4-1 win. Goalkeeper Adam Brinster stopped eight of nine shots on goal. Saturday saw a lot of scoring from the Homer squad, as they hammered Copper River 9-2. Bolin and Larson traded out goals throughout the game, with Leland Lowe and Zasima Martushev each scoring one goal. Brinster stopped 16 of 18 shots. In an effort to mix things up a bit, the two teams agreed to swap out a few players and meet up again Saturday afternoon. This combination made for quite an enxciting competition, with the final score showing 4-3. Bolin and Larson both turned hat tricks for the game, each of them playing on a different team. Lowe also picked up a goal in the game. Homer and Copper River played again Sunday morning, before embarking together on a boat trip around Kachemak Bay.
