Mr. Slone,
I like to question those who favor gun-control by the federal government along these lines: Do you exercise your 1st Amendment rights ? Do you feel as if you are responsible in exercising those rights (for example, not yelling fire in a crowded place or carrying racist placards outside a black church or even refraining from burning the US flag? So you actually feel as if you, as a responsible citizen, do not require restrictions on the 1st Amendment, because you and nearly everyone else is capable of regulating yourself or do you feel that it is necessary to give up your 1st Amendment rights because a few people abuse that freedom and cause the innocent to suffer?

In case anyone had not realized, The Koch Brother's group ALEC is officially taking over every level of government in Alaska. If it weren't for the legislation benefiting oil companies or cruise ships, the only legislation we would have seen in the state legislature so far comes straight from ALEC introduced by Wes Keller.

And now, The mayor of Anchorage just pulled a Scott Walker, attempting to eliminate bargaining rights for public employee unions.

They informed employees at 20 minutes to five that they would be introducing this, yet 750 people managed to show up....

"More than 750 people, many representing eight labor groups, clogged the Tuesday night Anchorage Assembly meeting in a sign of the fight to come over Mayor Dan Sullivan's proposal to weaken city unions."
