"learn from our mistakes; make corrections in our course"

That is why you do not trust nor hire a company that has not paid previous contracts.

Buccaneer did not pay workers in Kenai. Workers had to take them to court to get paid. Archer says Buccaneer didn't pay them and quit. They are taking Buccaneer to court to get their paychecks. Homer believes Buccaneer cause they said so...duh duh duh!!!

Archer employees found this rig to be the biggest hunk of junk ever. They bought it from the junk yard in Singapore, Buccaneer demanded they get it here as fast as possible to cash in on Parnell's tax credits. Archer workers said there is no way that piece of cr#p will be fixed or safe ever. It that rig does make it out, it will be because Parnell pulls some special favor because he is waiting on their gas to sell to Japan. But it will not be safe.

Continuing to trust and support Buccaneer is the exact opposite of learning from mistakes, and trusting that company with a possible spill?

Sure it might create a few jobs, but the tourist industry and the fishing industry will be dead. Is that a fair trade off?

And when Parnell leaves office, maybe he can take up defending Buccaneer after a major oil spill, against the people of Alaska, just like he did when he worked for Exxon after the Exxon Valdez spill, against the people of Alaska.

We know who the governor is working for, but can't figure out why anyone else would support this crooked company over the lives of everyone else in Homer.
