Police report – Nov. 21

Kachemak Emergency Services responded to two fire calls and two medical emergency calls during the week of Nov. 12-18. 
Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded to 13 emergency medical calls and three fire calls for the week of Nov. 12-19.
On Nov. 12, Fire crews responded to a residence on West Skyline for a chimney fire. Upon arrival firefighters extinguished the remaining fire in the stack and opened it to ensure no fire extended through pipe to the structure.

• On Nov. 13, Alaska State Troopers contacted Davis Shaw, 30, of Anchor Point while conducting a probationer visit at an Anchor Point residence. Shaw was subsequently arrested for violating his conditions of probation by using methamphetamine. Shaw was remanded to the Homer Jail.

• On Nov. 13, Troopers contacted Timothy K. Igou, 26 of Anchor Point after receiving a report of an assault at a residence on North Fork Road in Anchor Point During the investigation, it was determined that T. Igou physically assaulted a juvenile. Igou was arrested and transported to the Homer Jail where he was held without bail.

• On Nov. 8, Troopers contacted Sebastian T. Demas-Moonin, 30, of Nanwalek after receiving a report that he had made sexual advances, and offered a juvenile alcohol at a residence in Nanwalek. Demas-Moonin was arrested and transported to the Homer Jail where he was held without bail.

Nov. 13
Criminal mischief: A caller reports a car window smashed on Pennock Street. An officer responded and took photos.
Disturbance: A caller reported a disturbance over a traffic matter on Aspen Lane. An officer warned the driver for inattentive driving.
Threats: A local medical facility reported threats from a patient on East End Road.
Theft of a bicycle: A caller reports the theft of a bicycle from Bishop’s Beach after the fact.
Shoplifting: Ulmers reports juvenile males shoplifting after the fact.
Nov 14
Fraud-Bad Check: A person reported a bad check issued by a local business.
Suspicious Circumstances: An officer contacted a suspicious person on Homer Police Department property. The person refused to identify himself. No crime was committed.
Suspicious Circumstances: A woman reported suspicious individuals on West Fairview Avenue who was. collecting food from residences.
Nov 15
Welfare Check: A caller requested roadside assistance and a welfare check on a female insured with a disabled vehicle on Sterling Highway/West Hill. An officer responded.
Drug information: A caller reported finding drug paraphernalia at Karen Hornaday Park. An officer was advised and extra patrols were requested.
Theft from a building: A local business reports theft of a bank deposit. Officer advised.
Pass school bus with red lights: First student reported a vehicle passing when red lights were flashing.
Nov 16
Theft of a vehicle: A 911caller reported a vehicle stolen on Clover Lane. An officer was advised, then the caller later reported the vehicle was taken for repairs by a friend.
Protective Custody/Alcohol: A caller reported a male passed out in front of a local business. Officers responded and transported the man to the South Peninsula Hospital and then to Homer jail for protective custody.
Nov 18
Driver arrested for DUI and housed at Homer jail.
Death investigation-unattended death:
A death was reported. Officer advised.
Animal related offense/complaint:A caller requests assistance corralling lose dog on E. Bunnell ct. ACO assists caller.
Nov. 19
Failure to stop: A driver was warned for failure to stop for a pedestrian at a crosswalk.
Unattended death: A 911 caller reported an unattended death of a 45-year-old woman.
Theft from nursing home: A caller reported the theft of articles from an assisted living center.
Theft of tires: A caller on Fish Dock Road reported the theft of commercial truck tires.
