Why do we need more surveys? It's difficult for the current parents of high schoolers to get motivated to help on a community center for teenagers when it is going to take several years, by then there will be no funding and our kids will be in college. It would better serve the public to work on it now, get something tangible happening now, with the money from the Homer Prevention Project. Is it costing another $65,000 for this survey. C'mon now, Have you no shame? Do you all care about the kids at all? The building that is rented for the Homer Prevention Project would be perfect for a place for teens, if we fire the person making $190,000, give that building space to the teenagers and use the $190,000 to fund the center for the next two years instead of one salary.
