Police report – Oct. 3

Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded to 13 emergency medical calls, one fire call and one rescue call for the week of Sept. 24-30. Open burning in Homer city limits requires a burn permit year round. Please stop by the Homer Volunteer Fire Department Monday -Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to pick up a burn permit. Ask us about our free chimney brush rental program if you have a woodstove.

A caller reported keys taken from inside a vehicle on Bay Avenue.
A 911 caller reported a disturbance in a local establishment on East Pioneer Avenue.
A caller reported excessive noise from a neighbor’s house on Skagit Circle.
A caller reported a verbal domestic dispute and requested assistance with having a man removed from her residence on Early Spring Street.

A caller reported a suspicious individual taking mail from a mailbox on Sterling Highway and Mount Augustine Road.
A man presented at the counter to report money taken from inside vehicle on Ben Walters Lane.
A man reported theft from his yard on West Fairview.
A caller reported a downed tree partially blocking Sabrina Road.

A caller reported a lost wallet on Ocean Drive.
A caller reported a possible stranded seal on the beach.
A 911 caller reported possible attempt at theft of firewood on Fish Dock Road.
A woman reported losing her phone on a Homer trail.
A 911 caller reported hearing glass break nearby. Officer contacted a man with a lacerated hand. Person forced entry into own rented residence. EMS to the scene.

An anonymous caller reported a man with weapons in a local establishment.
An intoxicated man called 911 from East Bunnell and reported his friend was not alert and needed help. The man hung up on dispatch, and became agitated upon call back.

A caller reported hearing suspicious noises in the morning and then finding scratches on vehicle.
A caller reported a purse outside a local bank on the Sterling Highway.
Hospital staff reported a possible wanted person at 4300 Bartlett St.

A caller reported a nude person sitting outside a residence on Hillview Place.
A caller reported someone trying to enter a home on Bowers Street
