A young Homer man who was indicted last week by a federal grand jury in Anchorage on one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and heroin will be seeking release on bail.
According to Kimberly Sayers-Faye, Assistant United States Attorney who presented the case to the grand jury, the defense council for Kostas Nikolaos Bairamis, 22, will seek bail for the defendant.

Kyle Wentz, a 16-year-old junior at Homer High School, was chosen to represent Mariner swimming this week. Kyle started swimming 10 years ago, and competes in both high school and club swimming. About nine months out of the year, you can find him at the swimming pool. He is a two-sport athlete who also competes in cross-country skiing.
Kyle said club meets are the biggest, because they involve both high school and younger swimmers.
