Police Report – Nov. 4

Fire/EMS
The Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded to two fire calls and nine emergency medical calls for the week of Oct. 26- Nov. 1.

Kachemak Emergency Services responded to one smoke investigation and two EMS calls for the week of Oct. 26- Nov. 1.

Suspicious Vehicle
On Oct. 28, the bus company called to report an unoccupied vehicle in the roadway. Officer arrived in area and found the vehicle had battery problems. A friend was called to help remove the vehicle.

Suspicious Circumstances
On Oct. 31, a caller reported three intoxicated adult trick-or-treaters knocked on his door.
On Nov. 1, a caller reported four juveniles throwing sticks onto the roadway. Subjects were gone prior to officer’s arrival and there were no signs of sticks on the roadway.
On Nov. 1, a caller reported an alarm going off, but could not confirm the type or provide an exact location.

Motor Vehicle Accident
On Oct. 27, a caller reported observing a vehicle hitting a parked vehicle.
On Oct. 28, a caller reported a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

Animals
On Oct. 27, a man came to the station to report his dog missing from his vehicle.

Disturbance
On Oct. 30, an South Peninsula Hospital employee requested assistance with a disruptive patient.
On Oct. 31, a caller reported loud music in the area. An officer made contact with the party and warned them about disorderly conduct.

Security Check
On Oct. 31, an officer performed a security check at the local library due to the boiler room door being left open. All was OK, and the library manager was notified to secure the building.

Traffic Warning
On Oct. 27, a driver was warned for speeding in a school zone.
On Oct. 31, an officer warned a driver for excessively slow speed on the roadway.

Driving While Intoxicated
On Oct. 29, multiple callers reported an individual driving while intoxicated. The vehicle was reportedly involved in an accident a short time later.

Trespass
On Oct. 28, a caller requested assistance with having a subject leave the premises of a local agency. Officers arrived at scene.

Welfare Check
On Oct. 29, an out-of-state caller requested a welfare check on her brother due to lack of contact. An officer found everything to be OK.

Forgery
On Oct. 27, a caller reported an individual attempting to cash a forged check.

Alaska State Troopers
On Nov. 1, an anonymous caller reported a wooden pallet in the road. An officer removed the debris.
