The Homer Volunteer Fire Department responded to three fire calls and 11 emergency medical calls the week of Nov. 16-22.
Kachemak Emergency Services responded to one chimney fire and one EMS call the week of Nov. 16-22.
City Ordinance
On Nov. 20, an officer contacted the owner of a trailer that was parked in the way preventing road maintenance from being done.
False Alarm
On Nov. 19, a security company reported a burglar alarm going off in a local business. Officer arrived to area. All was OK.
Suspicious Circumstances
On Nov. 21, a 911 call came from a local residence. 911 was unable to determine the problem. Officer responded to residence.
On Nov. 22, a caller reported drug paraphernalia found in his returned item.
Intoxicated Pedestrian
On Nov. 21, a caller requested an officer to the scene due to an intoxicated male passed out in the waiting area. A taxi was called and the individual was transported home.
On Nov. 22, a caller reported an intoxicated and belligerent male outside the grocery store. Officer arrived to area. Officer advised the male to leave the premises and to stay out of the all local establishments for the evening.
Minor Consumption
On Nov. 21, a 911 caller reported a disturbance at a local residence. Officers arrived at scene. Subject was arrested for minor consuming alcohol and taken into protective custody.
Traffic
On Nov. 18, a state trooper reported a speeding vehicle headed toward Homer. Officer was advised.
Motor Vehicle Accident
On Nov. 21, numerous 911 callers reported a motor vehicle accident. Officer arrived at scene.
Fraud
On Nov. 19, a caller reported someone passing bad checks at a local business. Officer was advised.
Burglary
On Nov. 21, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary at a residence near Mile 7.5 East End Road. Several items taken, with a cumulative value of approximately $1000. Suspects have been identified and investigation is continuing.
