• Season of turkey gets children thinking of how to make food dishes

Brandon Young’s first grade class at Paul Banks Elementary School compiled a book of recipes for Thanksgiving season, concocted by the students. The following is what they came up with:

Madison’s Corn Bread
Ingredients: Flour, corn, eggs and water
Directions: Mix it; let it cook; let it rise and let it cool down.

Katlin C.’s Stuffin’
Ingredients: Chocolate, breadstick, sauce, butter, flour, turkey; 7 inches of milk
Directions: Mix it, but you leave the sauce out. Make a hole. Put sauce in the hole.

Karl’s Mashed Pumpkin
Ingredients: Pumpkin, hammer
Directions: Break it open with the hammer. Turn the knob to 925. Put it in the microwave. Take it out

Aiden breakfast
Ingredients: ham, eggs, flour, cheese
Directions: Put flour in a bowl. Mix in eggs and cheese. Mix it with the flour. Put it in the oven and let it get warm. Put an ice cube on it so it doesn’t get too hot

Ann’s bread and fish
Ingredients: Bread, fish, leaf, flour
Directions: Pour them. Mix with spoon. Put them in a bowl. Microwave for 5 minutes.

Charlie‘s Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients: Pumpkin seeds, spices and seasoning, sugar, pepper and corn
Directions: Get em out of pumpkin; dry em; cook em; boil em; wait for em to cool down, eat em

Crystal’s Scalloped Corn
Need corn, cheese and cereal
Directions: Cook the corn for like 45 minutes; Mix the corn, cheese and cereal. Then take it out of the oven and let it cool off.

Joseph’s Gravy
Ingredients: Chicken broth, large pot, water, colander, pepper and sea salt
and three Chickens
Directions: Cook chicken broth in pan. Use a big pot with 2 inches of water. Now put in the cup of water. Use a colander. Add 50 inches of pepper. Use a spatula to stir all ingredients. Get 3 more chickens out. Now put everything in a big pot. Now take the water out and put it in the sink. Now put sea salt in. Cook for 100511551 minutes.

Xander‘s Salad
Ingredients: Lettuce, dressing, cheese, whip cream, lots of dressing
Directions: You need get it first. Then get fruit and then get lots of fruit. Then put grated cheese. Put whip cream on top

Travis’ Cranberries
Ingredients: Cranberries and sugar
Directions: Stir it; boil it; mix it, put it in the oven. Take it out. Eat it
Make it again.

Tiara’s Turkey
Ingredients: Stuffing, sauce, orange juice and milk
Directions: Kill the turkey. Cook 50 minutes. Eat. Throw the turkey away. Let bugs eat it.

Sam’s Crème Brule
Ingredients: A torch, some sugar, some whip cream
Directions: Now put the whip cream in the crème brule. Now put the sugar on the whip cream. Now put the torch and set it on for 1:60.

Mitchell’s Apple Pie
Ingredients: Apple, Plate, Sugar, Salt
Directions: Put an apple in the pan with apple juice. Cook it.Put a pumpkin in. Cool. Fry it.

Kaya’s Turkey
Ingredients: Gravy, stuffing and turkey
Directions: Put stuffing in the turkey. Put gravy on it. Cook turkey in oven- kind of hot. Put mashed potatoes on it.

Noah’s Deviled Eggs
Ingredients: Eggs, Mix yolk, Relish
Directions: Heat the oven to 350. Boil the eggs. Mix the yolk. Add relish.

Peter’s Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients: Pumpkin, milk, sugar, butter, water
Directions: Put water and pumpkin and milk in a pan. Put sugar on top of it. Put melted butter on top. Bake it. Finally, eat.

Ryleigh’s Fruit Salad
Ingredients: Cantaloupe, pineapple, apples, blueberries, strawberries, cherries and raspberries
